Mission San Xavier de bac
The Spanish Catholic Mission site was founded in 1692, the original mission was burned to the ground in 1770 by Apache Raiders. The current mission was constructed in 1793 as it stands today. It is known as The White Dove of the Desert. This was the cultural center of the region; here locals received the Word of God, traded goods and celebrated events of significant occasion in and around the mission.

A single cholla flower opens in the soft morning light beneath a desert mesquite tree.
In the bloom, a silhouette of a vailed woman who appears to be in prayer, her image captured on the pedals of the cactus flower cup.
Her hands folded and her head bowed in reverence.
The silhouette spoke; liken the voice of a woman in the wilderness; a whispering of wind, a rustling of the trees; like an angel on high.
And the winds calmed; may this angelic message be given unto you to share with your children and your children’s children.
From the gospel Luke 1, 41-42
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.
And she spoke out with a loud voice, say, blessed art thou, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
Amen.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

From the Gospel of Luke 5: 12-16
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy; who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if though wilt, thou can make me clean.
And he put forth is hand, and touched him, saying, I will: “be thou clean”. And immediately the leprosy left him.
And he charged him to “tell no man": but go, and show thy self to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
But so is much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.
And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.

1 Corinthians: 8-13
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now all we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am known.
And now these three things remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

A Time to Sew
From the gospel of Matthew: 13: 3-9
Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and fowls came and devoured them up:
Some fell upon stoney places, where they had not much earth; and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of the earth:
And when the sun was up they where scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
And some fell among thrones; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
But others fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundred fold, some sixty fold and some thirty fold.
Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Let me cleanse you by the word, listen carefully.
Does a well of water give off good water and bad water in the same draw at the well?
No.
The water is either good or bad, how can it be both?
Sweet Water does not flow from a bitter well.
Only Sweet Water flows from a sweet well and the bitter water goes untouched in anguish, loneliness and despair for the taste is unpalatable to man, flower and beast.

Every branch in me, that bear not fruit he takes away: and every branch that fruits, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
Now you are clean through the word I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me.
I am the vine, you are the branches: he that abide in me, and I in him, the same bring forth much fruit: for without me, you can do nothing.
