The Bell Rock formation is in the high desert overlooking Oak Creek Canyon. As you venture up onto higher ground Mother Earth transforms into a blend of desert flora and forrest green with pine and agave in the same landscape.
Similarly there are clear and visible layers of sandstone between the red rock of the formation. Indicating that the rock was once covered in fresh water and ocean water at different time periods of the local geological history.
So what was once, ocean and what was once lake is now the high desert pushing into the pine forrest.
Change is inevitable.

And so it is written:
Psalm 23: 1-6
The Lord is my Shepard; I shall not want.
He make me lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
He restore my soul: he lead me in paths of rightousness for his name sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me; thy rod and they staff comfort me.
Thou prepares a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anoints my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surley goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Amen
