In Loving Memory of Allison Steele
Allison is an Artistic Owl and a childhood memory, she just wouldn’t kiss me, but only in our dreams.
When the evening comes, so comes the darkness, but there was a beacon of light. She read us poetry and prose, sang songs that lead a path through the night.
A Great Horned Owl by night; Allison, by day, sits on a clutch of eggs in her nest constructed of dried twigs and tree branches hidden in the twisted and gnarled arms of a mature Saguaro Cacti.
Allison is not a rescue or enclosed owl, but indeed a wild owl from the Old Country, he father a Sicilian Inn Keeper kept her beauty under lock and key with watchful eyes of his extended Owl Family.
Then she was free to fly into the night sky.
Her tragic end was a huge blow to Owl Pachino; ending his exile in Sicily to return to the states as the Godfather of the Owl Family.
And they all did not live happily after.
And somebody is going to get hurt.
“Don’t take it personally, it’s all about the business”.
